Kapil Dev Tweets From The Hospital; Thanks All For Love, Concern And Affirms He Is On The Road To Recovery

Earlier today, reports emerged that ace cricketer Kapil Dev has suffered a heart attack. Reports suggested that the cricketer underwent an angioplasty in Fortis Hospital, Delhi. Soon Get Well Soon messages started pouring in for him. From cricketers like Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh and others to Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh and others - many took to their social media handles to wish him a speedy recovery. Now, Kapil Dev has made a tweet from the hospital assuring fans that he is doing fine.

Kapil Dev made a post that read, "Thank you everyone for all the love and concern. I am overwhelmed with the good wishes and well on the road to recovery." His fans are overjoyed with this tweet coming from him and are praying that the cricketer who led the Indian cricket team to win the World Cup in 1983 recover soonest.

Earlier, a statement was released by the hospital giving details about Kapil Dev's health. The statement read, "Cricketer Kapil Dev came to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (Okhla Road) emergency department at 1:00 am on 23rd October with a complaint of chest pain. He was evaluated and an emergency coronary angioplasty was performed in the middle of night. Currently, he is admitted in ICU and under close supervision of Dr Atul Mathur and his team. Kapil Dev is stable now and he is expected to get discharged in a couple of days.”
